The conflicts that was most striking to me was the veil most black women wore, and the implications it had; for example, Anita Hill was discredited when she spoke out about against Clarence Thomas. In one of my posts I discussed the culture of dissemblance surrounding the life of Sojourner Truth. There exists this great myth about her that contrasts greatly with her actual life.

Reflection
My favorite of my blog posts was the first. I wrote about the unique experiences of African-American women during slavery in the first person. I think that this blog posts, written in dialect, fully captured the ethos of the period. The post discussed how black women resisted slavery through feigning illness and fleeing the plantation for a certain period. It also discusses the sexual abuse female slaves endured.
